History of Department of New Media Art Taipei National University of the Arts
Taipei National University of the Arts is the earliest academic institution in Taiwan to pay attention at the field of art and technology and furthermore established related academic units. Talents nurtured throughout the development of Center for Art and Technology (1992), Graduate School of Art and Technology (2000) and the Department of New Media Art (2010) have become backbones of Taiwan contemporary New Media Art.

Re-TechArt not only tells the development of the Department of New Media Art, Taipei National University of the Arts, but also compiled professional works of professors in the department, and serves as an important document to witness the development of art and technology in Taiwan.

國立臺北藝術大學是台灣最早關注科技藝術領域並成立相關機構的學術單位，從藝術與科技中心 (1992)、科技藝術研究所 (2000) 到新媒體藝術學系 (2010)，期間所培育的人才，已成為台灣當代新媒體藝術領域的中堅。

《科藝再造》一書不但是臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術學系的發展歷程、系上專任教師的專業結集，更是見證台灣科技藝術開展脈絡的重要文獻。
